Confession

Oh dear I realize that it's time to pull out the fall decorations but I can't just yet. Why you ask well because my house is one big disasterous mess seriously I'd show you pictures but I'm afraid you might stop being my friends :( So here's the deal I have allowed being pregnant to turn me into a slob. Not just a little bit like a whole lot there were things I could've been doing little bite size tasks that I put off because well I'm pregnant and tired. First trimester kicked my booty and my house paid the price. Well no more I've created a new cleaning list and I'm slowly but surely trying to bring our home out of disaster mode.

Yesterday we worked in the kitchen scrubbing down appliances, cleaning the sink with bon ami and sweeping and mopping the floors. But still to be done is a pantry re-organization and cleaning out my baking/cake decorating cabinet. Tonight we're tackling the living room which seriously has bags of maternity clothes that have been given to me and random crap everywhere :( I'm so tired of a messy house it makes me sad.

So my goal by this weekend is to get our home clean, organized, and dressed for fall. Hopefully I can share pictures of the decor by Monday. I'm posting this here because I need some motivation 1 and 2 you lovelies can hold me accountable. I will get it done!! I will!

This same phenomenon hits after baby is born, too! ;) But things all even out sooner or later, organization is such a wonderful feeling! I have the hardest time putting out fall stuff until the weather cools off, but I don't think it's going to really do that anytime soon. :sigh:

Good luck girl! All that nesting will probably make you feel better! My fall stuff went out last night, I'm hoping for cooler temps later this week!

Oh, the same thing has happened to my house. It's hard to get up the energy to clean! I've been so tired lately, it's ridiculous. Thankfully between Derek and me, we've been able to keep it in decent order.
It's got to get better at some point, right? I'm still waiting for the legendary 2nd trimester energy boost to kick in.

I am TOTALLY on the same page! So frustrating! There never seems to be enough energy - or time for that matter - to get things done :( Happy cleaning! :)

I know tomorrow is the first day of fall -- but it is literally 93 degrees here tomorrow. I can't get with the "fall" program... decorations are staying in the attic for now!

We have all been there!!! But congrats to you for all the nesting you are getting done. Just take it easy...the mess isn't going anywhere so don't over do it! I have a couple bags sitting here waiting for a trip to Goodwill. One of these days...:-)

Sadly, I have no excuses and my house still looks like what you've described. I worked on it last Saturday and got a good way done but didn't quite finish and now I feel our master bedroom, living room and kitchen will have to be started all over again! I'm hoping to tackle a good deal of it tonight because my birthday is this weekend and I'm learning I'm going to be quite busy!
